Short biography
Mafalda Cardoso Maia (born March 31, 2007) known professionally as Urraca Lahm, is a portuguese songwriter, singer and musician.
Her first connection with music was through the classical saxophone at the age of 8. It is a lasting relationship that continues to this day. She has won more than 25 international saxophone competitions, including some of the most renowned ones like Paris and Andorra. Piano, singing and composition, were also a significant part of her training for a long time. As a listener, Mafalda has always been immensely interested in music. By the age of 16, she had already attended more than 250 live concerts. Her tastes are very diverse, ranging from classical and jazz to rock, hard rock, and pop.
However, one of her greatest interests is the literary field. A compulsive reader, Mafalda loves poetry and well-written fiction. She values the beauty of writing even more than the narrative itself. She has even performed her own shows, reciting theatricalized poetry. Most likely, it was this passion that brought her here. She has always loved writing, and moving from poems and short stories to song lyrics was a natural step. Songwriting has become her greatest joy. From her iconic blue typewriter, a few pages of writing emerge daily, covering all genres.
Her career in pop music is in the making, and little by little, it will bear fruit. Just wait and see, it will be worth it!
